“Great teams are made of great individuals” – Sir Clive Woodward

Clive Woodward knows how to lead and shape winning teams. He steered the England rugby team to the country’s greatest sporting victory since 1966. He was director of sport for Team GB for the six years leading up to the unprecedented success of London 2012. And in recent years Clive has worked with leaders and teams in business and other organisations to help them introduce the same winning behaviours, strategies and mindsets he pioneered in the world of sport.

On December 2, Clive comes to Intelligence Squared to lead a limited-space masterclass on leadership. A maximum of 20 people will be able to take part in this two-hour and 15 minutes session on Zoom in which participants will be able to interact directly online with Clive.

He will take at least one question from every participant and address their specific concerns. In the process he will provide insights that every participant can take away and apply to her or his team and organisation.

All participants will receive the video, audio and a transcript of the masterclass afterwards for reference purposes.

Clive has worked with many leading clients including Accenture, EY, GlaxoSmithKline, HSBC, Sainsbury’s, WPP and RBS.

The format

• The event will take place on Zoom
• The course will run for 2 hours and 15 minutes
• The Intelligence Squared team will be on hand to help with any difficulties joining the event
• All participants will be encouraged to submit questions before the event so that Clive can take time to look over them in advance, but it will be perfectly fine to pose him fresh questions
• We will allow 15 minutes for troubleshooting and settling in
• An Intelligence Squared team member will lead the discussion, introducing Clive and getting the conversation started, moving quickly to questions from participants
• After 55 minutes everyone will take a ten-minute break
• We will resume with further discussion and questions from participants, wrapping up after a second 55-minute session
• Participants will receive the video and audio immediately after the event.
