How the Cosmos Explains Life On Earth, with Christophe Galfard

Christophe Galfard is a physicist who studied under Stephen Hawking at Cambridge, where he researched black holes alongside one of history’s greatest minds. Now a bestselling author and leading science broadcaster, Galfard’s work focuses on discovering life beyond planet Earth.

On June 24, Galfard comes to Intelligence Squared to reveal what the cosmos tells us about life and how — from ancient bacteria to modern humans — the story of Earth is inseparable from the story of the cosmos. Drawing on his new book This Is Life, Galfard will make the case that to understand where we came from, we must understand space and the universe.
