Defining and delivering a strategy for exponentially growing Intelligence Squared audiences across existing digital platforms:
- BBC World News
- NPR Europe
- Curzon Home Cinema
- British Airways in-flight entertainment system
Adding new platforms and developing partnerships for syndication, SEO optimisation and CRM data usage
Driving the development of a responsive, robust, beautifully-designed, easy-to-use website that can serve as a flexible platform for enhancing existing activities:
- marketing of live events and conferences
- presentation of 300 hour video archive
- gateway to podcasts
Extending the functionalities of the website to serve as a platform for Intelligence Squared content and 3rd party videos creatively repurposed. This will mean inventing, in close partnership with the editorial team, news-relevant video and audio edits with the goal of attracting new audiences and advertisers.
Creating online content formats – short-form and otherwise – to support audience engagement in Intelligence Squared global activities (including voting on-site and more broadly online, accompanied by blogging and other user-generated content etc.)
Converting online traffic to e-commerce (ie. ticket sales, memberships, books)
Coaching and challenging the existing digital team on attracting, engaging, retaining and growing new audiences
Working closely with the Managing Director and her team in entrepreneurial and innovative ways, to create opportunities for corporate advertising and engagement

Placement: 2-3 months
We are looking for a graduate to help support our live events progamme and also to help develop our overarching marketing and PR strategies. The placement will last two to three months and is based at our office in Notting Hill, London.
The candidate will be a university graduate, fluent in English with excellent writing skills. He or she will also have a good grasp of current affairs.
Those with experience within PR, marketing, events, internet start ups, social media and web development will receive priority attention. But we’re also looking for people with ideas, enthusiasm for the organisation and entrepreneurial energy.
Strong computer skills essential (Word and Excel); HTML and design skills useful extras.
