Zeinab Badawi is the presenter of the BBC television shows BBC World News, World News Today and Reporters. She regularly presents the BBC interview programme HARDtalk. Zeinab has worked on a range of programmes, reporting from Europe, Asia and Africa, where she covered the famine in the mid-1980s. She joined BBC World News after reporting and presenting programmes on UK politics from the BBC’s Westminster studios.

Zeinab has also worked in radio, regularly presenting The World Tonight on BBC Radio 4 and Newshour on BBC World Service radio. In November 2009, she was the recipient of the ‘International TV Personality of the Year’ title at the Association of International Broadcasting awards (AIB). She is an Oxford graduate in politics and economics, with a post-graduate degree in Middle Eastern affairs from London University.
