Werner Heisenberg talks about developing the final mathematical form of quantum theory with the aid of Born, Pauli, Jordan and Dirac; how Schrödinger’s wave mechanics, his treatment of the hydrogen atom and their many disagreements assisted in this development and Einstein’s belief that the interpretation was too abstract and too far removed from the ‘older ideas of physics’.
