Speakers: Jack Klaff, Stephen Weinberg
Steven Weinberg talks about the history of science. He claims science as we know it only really began in the Hellenistic age and talks of the 'Titans' and 'great men' of science, before and since.
He goes on to speak of the public understanding of science and how important it is for the public's interest to remain engaged if we are not to witness science's devolution to a series of 'spectator sports' such as manned space flights.
