Prometeus - The media revolution

Jun 2007

This video offers a vision of the possible trajectory of the media industry, up to 2051. Even now the media sands are shifting, as ‘static data’ such as books and newspapers, are taken over by websites such as Wikipedia and Flickr. A new figure has emerged, a ‘prosumer’ – a producer and consumer of information. The narrator posits that this development is only the first step along the way to a radically different media landscape.
