Even now the media sands are shifting, as ‘static data’ such as books and newspapers, are taken over by websites such as Wikipedia and Flickr. A new figure has emerged, a ‘prosumer’ – a producer and consumer of information. The narrator posits that this development is only the first step along the way to a radically different media landscape.
