Speakers: Patti Smith, Paul Holdengräber
Patti Smith recounts her life in the 1970s. Having moved to New York, a city which was then beautiful, safe and full of possibilities, she lived in the bathroom of a bookstore. Patti describes how she met Robert Mapplethorpe. Appearing one day ‘as if angels had opened a portal’, he saves her from a terrible date and from then on they were life-long companions.
