Guido van der Werve discusses his work in PLOT/09: This World & Nearer Ones. He discusses two works, entitled 'Number 4: I don't want to get involved in this, I don't want to be a part of this; talk me out of it' and 'Number Seven: The clouds are more beautiful from above'.
The latter work involves the artist attempting to blast a piece of meteoroid back into space using a home-made rocket. He explains how his work draws on his own experiences, but also how he tries to make his work as abstract as possible, so that people can find their own forms of engagement with it.
