The Apollo 11 mission launched on July 16 1969. Five days later, Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to walk on the surface of the moon. The mission reached a successful conclusion on July 24th when the command module Columbia, containing Aldrin, Armstrong, and pilot Michael Collins, successfully landed in the Pacific Ocean. This video shows footage shot by the Apollo 11 crew through the window of their spacecraft during lunar orbit.
