Speakers: Lord Stephen Carter
Lord Carter introduces the Digital Britain Report. He makes the point that digital technology is essential to the future of Britain's economy, and suggests that Britain's infrastructure needs to be improved accordingly. The Digital Britain Report outlines the Government's plans to make Britain fully digital, and to ensure a greater degree of equality in access to digital technology.
Lord Carter also discusses some of the probems - such as tackling piracy of intellectual property and digital security at international, national, and domestic levels - that will be encountered in making this happen.
