Ian Bremmer on the regularity of economic catastrophe

02 Apr 2009

Speakers: Ian Bremmer

Ian Bremmer explains the theme of his book The Fat Tail (2009), which examines why catastrophic economic events are now occurring much more frequently.

In the wake of the recent global financial crisis, The Fat Tail also looks at how these events are increasingly influenced by politics, and how, if we understand the relationship between the two, we can prevent these economic events, or at least make them more managable.
