Demotix shoots to be 'Street Wire'

Demotix is a London-based citizen journalism website with a revolutionary approach to photojournalism. Founder and CEO Turi Munthe describes Demotix as a website generated for the people, by the people, a sort of ‘street-wire’. Taking photos from freelance journalists all over the world, it acts as a virtual agent in selling them to the mainstream media. Munthe says the response from the media has been overwhelming, with the Daily Telegraph and Le Monde already showing considerable interest.
