Speakers: Chris Anderson
Chris Anderson, the groundbreaking author of The Long Tail (2007) and Free: The Future of a Radical Price (2009), outlines a dramatic new change in the way our economy functions, and discusses the essential difference between 20th and 21st century conceptions of ‘free'. His examination moves from the early sales techniques used by Jell-O to the marketing principles of the modern digital era. Anderson points out how the opportunity to give away vast amounts of virtual goods has radically altered our idea of what ‘free’ really means.
