Chief Economist and co-founder of Moody's Economy.com
Mark Zandi received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, where he researched with Gerard Adams and Nobel Laureate Lawrence Klein. He is the co-founder of Moody’s Economy.com (a widely-cited online economic resource) and currently serves as Chief Economist – directing the company’s research and consulting activities. Zandi was an economic adviser to Senator John McCain's 2008 campaign for the Presidency and also advised the Obama administration. He also testifies regularly before Congress, most recently delivering his verdict on the economic impact of the fiscal stimulus and the merits of government aid for the auto industry.
Zandi often features on print and in the broadcast media, and is the author of Financial Shock: Global Panic and Government Bailouts - How We Got Here and What Must be Done to Fix it (2009).
