Reader in Modern South Asian History at Oxford University
Dr David Washbrook is an academic historian who specialises in the history of southern India between the 18th and 20th centuries. He is currently both Reader in Modern South Asian History at Oxford University and a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. He has contributed several articles to prominent journals as well as writing a book: South India: Political Institutions and Political Change (1976).
