David Walker is Managing Director of Communications and Public Reporting at the Audit Commission. Before joining the Audit Commission in October 2008, he was editor of Public, the Guardian's monthly magazine for public sector managers. He has also worked as a journalist for The Times, and has written extensively about the public sector. He is co-author of Unjust Rewards: Exposing the Greed and Inequality in Britain Today (2008, with Polly Toynbee).
