Co-Founder, Politico
American political reporter Jim VandeHei is co-founder of The Politico, a political journalism organisation distributing content via television, newspaper, radio and the Internet, and now one of the USA’s most influential websites and newspapers.
VandeHei attended the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, graduating with a double major in journalism and political science. After interning as an undergraduate for Democrat Senator Herb Kohl in 1994, VendeHei began a career in political journalism, reporting for the Wall Street Journal, covering Congress and the White House, and then Roll Call, before finally joining The Washington Post. In 2006, he left to start Politico; in 2008 VandeHei and Politico co-founder John Harris were named the fifth most influential US pundits by the Telegraph.
