Writer and philosopher
Roger Scruton gained his PhD in philosophy from Jesus College, Cambridge, and is currently Research Professor for the Institute of Pscyhological Sciences. He is a philosopher, public commentator, and author of a number of books, including England: An Elegy (2001), A Political Philosophy (2006), and Culture Counts: Faith and Healing in a World Beseiged (2007). He has also written two operas: The Minister and Violet.
