Journalist and broadcaster
Mary Ann Sieghart is a former editor of the Times. After graduating from the University of Oxford, she worked for the Financial Times and the Washington Post before becoming the Economist’s political correspondent. She joined The Times as an Editor in the late 1980s, eventually becoming the paper’s Arts Editor and Chief Political leader-writer. Sieghart has also appeared on television programmes such as Question Time and Newsnight, and co-presented Start The Week with Melvyn Bragg. She is currently Non-Executive Director of Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust.
