Philosopher and bioethicist
Julian Savulescu was educated at Monash University in Melbourne,is currently Uehiro Professor of Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford, and a former editor of the Journal of Medical Ethics. He is a fellow of St Cross College, Oxford, and heads the Oxford-Melbourne Stem Cell Collaboration and Oxford University’s Programme on the Ethics of the New Biosciences (part of the 21st Century School).
Savulescu has published widely in many medical and academic journals, and is the author of Human Enhancement (2009, with Nick Bostrom).
