US Assistant Secretary of Energy for Policy and International Affairs
David Sandalow was appointed President Obama’s Assistant Secretary of Energy for Policy and International affairs in 2009. He also held numerous positions under the Clinton administration. He is an expert on global warming and oil policy and a supporter of hybrid and ‘plug-in' electrical cars. He was a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution from 2004-2009, and has previously held positions as Executive Vice-President of the World Wildlife Fund and as an attorney for the Office of General Counsel of the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Sandalow is the author of Freedom for Oil: How the next President can end the United States oil addiction(2007).
