Award winning cartoonist
Martin Rowson is an award winning cartoonist whose work regularly appears in The Guardian, The Mirror, the Independent on Sunday, The Times, The Morning Star, The Spectator and many other publications. His books include Stuff, a memoir, Snatches, a novel, graphic novel versions of The Waste Land and Tristram Shandy, two polemics called The Dog Allusion: Gods, Pets and How to be Human and Giving Offence, and Fuck: The Human Odyssey, a pictorial history of the universe. Between 2000 and 2008 he was Ken Livingstone's ‘Cartoonist Laureate for London’ and was paid one pint of London Pride per annum (still five years in arrears). He is also chairman of the British Cartoonists' Association, an Honorary Associate of the National Secular Society and a vice-president of the Zoological Society of London.
