Editor in Chief, Guardian
Alan Rusbridger is the Editor-in-Chief of the Guardian and Executive Editor of the Observer. He was educated at Cranleigh School and Magdalene College, Cambridge, and began his career in journalism at the Cambridge Evening News. Rushbridger joined the Guardian in the late 1970s, and was appointed as Editor of the paper in 1995. He is a visiting fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford and Queen Mary, University of London. He is also the author of three children's books.
