As editor-in-chief of openDemocracy Tony has been at the centre of pioneering work to transform the magazine model for the web. openDemocracy is 10 years old, has a readership of 3.5million unique viewers per year and publishes between 10 and 20 pieces of content per day. Using a “web 2.0” citizen-journalism model, Tony has extensively explored the potential for low-cost, decentralised editorial organisation in the pursuit of high-quality content.
