Author and political commentator
Lance Price is an author and political commentator. He is a former BBC correspondent and media adviser at 10 Downing Street, having worked from 1998 to 2000 as the deputy to Alastair Campbell. He was the Labour Party's Director of Communications from 2000 until the General Election of 2001, when Tony Blair secured his second landslide. Before joining Number Ten he was a BBC Political Correspondent for many years.
Price has now returned to journalism as a writer, political commentator and broadcaster. He is the author of The Spin Doctor's Diary; inside Number 10 with New Labour (2005), which is the private diary of his time at 10 Downing Street, and Where Power Lies (2010), which examines the relationship between Prime Ministers and the media.
