Lecturer, Oxford University
James Panton is a lecturer in politics at Oxford university. His DPhil investigation focuses on the transformation of public, private, and feminist ideas in the post-war period. He is also the Co-Director of The Battle of Ideas, an annual debating festival held in London, and organised by the Institute of Ideas. He is a founding member of The Manifesto Club an organisation launched in January 2006 with the aim of developing an alternative to the political malaise in contemporary society. Panton is the author of Science vs Superstition: The Case For a New Scientific Enlightenment (2006).
