Political analyst; former Democratic Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Finance
Lawrence O'Donnell is a senior political analyst for the cable news channel MSNBC and an Emmy Award-winning producer and writer of NBC’s The West Wing. O’Donnell was the Democratic Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Finance from 1993 through 1995. Prior to this, he sat as Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
O’Donnell graduated from Harvard University in 1976. He is known for his keen dislike of California’s 38th Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as his outspoken and heated presence on television panels. He also appears as a recurring supporting character on the HBO series Big Love.
