Designer, presenter, author
Kevin McCloud has a degree in the history of art and architecture from the University of Cambridge and is experienced in engineering and theatre design. He wrote and presented BB4's Grand Designs series and has designed lighting for Edinburgh Castle, the Savoy and Dorchester hotels . In addition to writing books on colour, furniture and design McCloud looks to raise awareness on environmental issues and the future or architecture and the conceptualisation of space.
McCloud has published extensively on the theme of decoration, including the books The Techniques of Decorating (1995) and The Complete Decorator (1996). He has honorary Doctor of Design degrees from Oxford Brookes and Plymouth Universities, and holds an honorary fellowship of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
