Independent writer, lecturer, and broadcaster
Kenan Malik was born in India and now lives in London. He is an independent writer, lecturer and broadcaster who studied neurobiology, history and philosophy at the universities of Sussex and Imperial College London. His publications include The Meaning of Race: Race, History and Culture in Western Society (1996) and Man, Beast and Zombie: What Science Can and Cannot Tell Us About Human Nature (2000). His broadcasts include the documentaries, Disunited Kingdom (Channel 4, 2003) and Are Muslims Hated? (Channel 4, 2005). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
