Journalist and former Panorama reporter
Richard Lindley is a former journalist for ITN who covered both the 1967 and 1973 wars in the Middle East. He has reported from around the world, from Cape Horn to Alaska, and Tristan da Cunha to Khathmandu. Moving from news to current affairs, he joined the BBC's Panorama, where he was the first western television journalist to interview Saddam Hussein. He now writes about television journalism, and in 2002 published a history of Panorama, Fifty Years of Pride and Paranoia.
