American theoretical physicist
Michio Kaku is an American theoretical physicist specialising in string field theory, and a futurist. He is a popularizer of science and a best-selling author, and holds the Henry Semat Chair and Professorship in theoretical physics at the City College of New York. He has appeared on a number of television programmes in America, including various news shows and Good Morning America. Kaku is also author of Parallel Worlds: The Science of Alternative Universes and Our Future in the Cosmos (2004), and Physics of the Impossible (2008).
