Novelist and journalist
Hari Kunzru studied English at Wadham College, Oxford, before studying for an MA in Philosophy and Literature from the University of Warwick. Since then he has served as a travel journalist for newspapers such as the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph, and also for Time Out and Wallpaper magazine. He also worked as a presenter on the Sky programme The Lounge.
Kunzru was named as the Observer's Young Travel Writer of the Year in 1999, and his 2003 novel The Impressionist won Betty Trusk and Somerset Maugham awards. His second novel, Transmission was named on the New York Times' 2005 list of notable books of the year.
