Anatole Kaletsky

Principal economic commentator of The Times

Anatole Kaletsky is one of Britain’s leading economic commentators. Formerly Economics Editor at The times, he is now their Editor-at-Large and writes for The Times Comment pages on Thursdays. He was educated at King’s College, Cambridge as a Kennedy Memorial Scholar and graduated with a Master’s degree in economics. He has also worked at the Financial Times, where he served as New York Bureau Chief, Washington Correspondent, International Economics Correspondent and Moscow Correspondent.

Kaletsky has won several awards for his writing, twice receiving the Specialist Writer of the Year award at British Press Awards, and also receiving the Institute of Economic Affairs’ Wincott Award for Economic Journalism prize, the Cernobbio-Europe award, and the BBC’s What the Papers Say award for 1996. His most recent book Capitalism 4.0: The Birth of a New Economy, was published in May 2010.
