Columnist on The Guardian and Evening Standard and former editor of The Times
Sir Simon Jenkins is a columnist for The Guardian, The London Evening Standard and has been the chairman of the National Trust since 2008. Jenkins is a former editor of The Times (1990-1992) and the Evening Standard (1976-78).Since May 2005, he has been a contributing blogger at The Huffington Post. In 2004, Jenkins received a knighthood for services to journalism. Jenkins has written a number of books, including England's Thousand Best Houses (2003) and Thatcher & Sons - A Revolution in Three Acts, (2006). Jenkins was the recipient of the Trustees Award at the 2009 Longman/History Today Awards.
