Journalist and television and radio broadcaster
Mariella Frostrup is a journalist and television and radio broadcaster known for her focus on artistic programming, with the “sexiest female voice on TV”. She has presented many different programmes over the years including The Green Room on BBC Radio 2, and Open Book on Radio 4. She began her career as a PR executive for Parlophone records, where she worked throughout the 1980s, before moving to Thames Television in 1990. She currently presents The book Show on Sky Arts 1, has appeared on Have I Got News For You and Absolutely Fabulous, and made a guest appearance on the BBC's Coupling.
Frostrup writes for The Guardian, The Observer, The Mail on Sunday and Harpers & Queen. She is also an art critic and has been on the judging panels for the Man Booker Prize, the Orange Prize for Fiction and the Evening Standard British Film Awards.
