Historian and biographer
Leonie Frieda is a translator, historian and biographer. Born in Sweden, and educated in the UK, France and Germany, Frieda began her career as a model. She previously owned the Matrix recording studio, which was used by bands such as the Rolling Stones and Oasis, with her husband Nigel Frieda. Her first book was a biography of Catherine de Medici, which was published, to critical acclaim, in 2004.
