American journalist and author
Andrew Ferguson is an American journalist and author. A figure within the US press circles, Ferguson’s first major appointment was as senior editor at the Washingtonian Magazine. In 1995 he joined The Weekly Standard and became its senior editor. He has written for Fortune, TV Guide, and Forbes FYI, and most recently for Bloomberg News. He has been contributing editor to Time magazine, and has also written for The New Yorker, New York, The New Republic, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post.
In 1992 Ferguson acted as a White House speech writer for President George H W Bush. He is the author of Land of Lincoln: Adventure’s in Abe’s America (2007). A collection of his essays, Fools Names, Fools Faces, was published in 1996, and his other work has appeared in several anthologies.
