Bill Emmott is an independent writer and consultant on international affairs, writes regular columns for The Times in Britain and La Stampa in Italy, and is chairman of the London Library. From 1993 until 2006 he was editor of The Economist, the world's leading weekly on international current affairs. He has published twelve books, including Rivals: How the power struggle between China, India and Japan will shape our next decade, and his most recent publication Forza, Italia: Come ripartire dopo Berlusconi, which appeared in Italian translation only in October 2010.
