Writer and philosopher
Alain de Botton is the writer of many books including How Proust can change your Life and The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work. He recently spent time as Heathrow's official writer in residence. He is the founder of two organisations, The School of Life, dedicated to a therapeutic vision of education, and Living Architecture, which describes itself as a contemporary architecture version of the Landmark Trust and makes architect-designed houses available for rent in the UK.
