Actor
Actor Tony Curtis is well known for his roles in, 'Some Like it Hot' (1959) and 'The Defiant Ones' (1958) - for which he gained an Academy Award nomination. Curtis had served in the US Navy during World War Two, before embarking on his career in film. He has also had many television appearances, including 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross' and 'The One Show'. He is also a painter and has previously had work on display at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was the recipient of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 1995.
