Author
Author of twelve books, Justin Cartwright's novels include the Booker-shortlisted In Every Face I Meet (1996) and the Whitbread Novel Award-winner Leading the Cheers (1998). He has also been the recipient of the Commonwealth Writer's prize and the South African M-Net award.
Educated in the United States and at Trinity College, Oxford, Cartwright was born in South Africa and lives in London. He has worked in advertising and has directed documentaries, films and television commercials. He managed election broadcasts, first for the Liberal Party and then the SDP-Liberal Alliance during the 1979, 1983 and 1987 British general elections.
