Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Business School
Clay Christensen is the Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where he is also part of the Technology & Operations Management and General Management faculty groups. He was educated at Brigham Young University, the University of Oxford, and Harvard Business School, and joined the faculty of the latter in the early 1980s.
Christensen is the founder of the consultancy firm Innosight LLC, and co-founder of Innosight Ventures, the Ceramics Process Systems Corporation, and Rose Park Advisors LLC. He currently serves on the board of Tata Consultancy Services, and has previously served as a White House Fellow, as an assistant to the US Transportation Secretaries. Christensen is the author of a number of books, including The Innovator's Dilemma: When New Technologies Cause Great Firms to Fail (1997) and The Innovator's Solution: Creating and Sustaining Successful Growth (2003, with Michael E Raynor).
