Chief leader writer and columnist on The Times
Camilla Cavendish is a leader writer and columnist at The Times. Before joining The Times in 2002 Camilla worked for Marjorie Scardino, Chief Executive of Pearson plc. and from 1995 to 1999 was Chief Executive of the South Bank Employers’ Group, a joint venture between companies that included Shell, IBM and the National Theatre, to regenerate the South Bank of the Thames. Camilla was a Kennedy Memorial Trust Scholar at Harvard University, where she gained a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She holds a first class honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University. She was the recipient of the Paul Foot award for campaigning journalism in 2008, and of the Campaigning Journalist of the Year Award at the 2009 British Press Awards.
