Rosie Boycott began her career as a journalist, co-founding the feminist magazine Spare Rib in 1972. She went on to edit Esquire Magazine from 1992-96, before becoming the first woman to edit two national broadsheets, The Independent and The Independent on Sunday, from 1996-1998.
