Political philosopher; founder and Director of ResPublica think tank
Phillip Blond is the founder and Director of the think tank ResPublica, and a political philosopher and proponent of 'Red Toryism'. He was educated at the Universities of Hull, Warwick, and Cambridge, and won a fellowship at New York's New School for Social Research. He founded ResPublica after leaving the think thank Demos, before which he had lectured at the Universities of Cumbria and Exeter. Blond is the author of Red Tory: How Left and Right Have Broken Britain and How We Can Fix It (2010), edited Post-Secular Philosophy: Between Philosophy and Theology (1998), and has written extensively for the Guardian and the Independent.
