After taking his law degree at Wadham College, Oxford, Iradj Bagherzade moved to New York, where he entered the world of publishing. During his career he has lived in the US, UK and other parts of Europe, as well as Iran. He founded IB Tauris and Co. Ltd in the mid-1980s.
