Poet and columnist
Fatima Bhutto was educated at Columbia University and the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. She is the daughter of Mir Murtaza Bhutto – a former member of Pakistan's Parliament, assassinated in 1996 – and neice of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. She is currently a columnist for the Daily Beast and the New Stateman, and has released two works of poetry: Whispers of the Desert and 8.50 a.m. 8 October 2005 (2005).
