Author
Edward Ball is an American writer and historian. After graduating from Brown University, he began his career in 1984 as a freelance journalist and become a columnist for Village Voice in 1990. He is the author of several books, the first of which, Slaves in the Family, won the National Book Award in 1998. He also wrote Genetic Strand: Exploring a Family History through DNA (2007), Peninsula of Lies: A True Story of Mysterious Birth and Taboo Love (2004) and The Sweet Hell Inside (2001).
