Social Entrepeneur
Camila Batmanghelidjh is a psychotherapist and social entrepreneur whose work focuses on children marginalised by society. She has founded two children’s charities, The Place 2 Be and Kids Company, which currently serve over 57,000 individuals per year.
Batmanghelidjh won the Social Entrepeneur of the Year Award in 2005, and Woman of the Year Award in 2006. She is author of Shattered Lives: Children Who Live with Courage and Dignity (2006) amongst other papers, and has curated two art exhibitions.
